In 2015 we received a call from George requesting a visit to discuss options for a full refurbishment of his fish shop and preparation area.
Once again using our customer focussed approach, we undertook a number of site visits and consultations to agree upon the design, colour scheme, budget and timescales. This was a challenging project as we needed to maximise the limited space to provide a safe area for the staff to use the four Kebab machines.
From these our designer was able to construct a 3D visual design detailing the proposed finishes, which met with the full approval of our client.
Work commenced in March 2016 working to the design specification, project schedule and budget.
The shop was completely stripped back and a new wall was constructed to separate the shop and kebab areas from the preparation room. The preparation room was fitted with easy wipe hygienic cladding, tiled floor, a new ceiling with LED lighting and new stainless steel equipment and canopies.
To the shop front new windows and doors were fitted with complimentary external signage and walls repainted.
Within the shop a number of design features were installed, these included a new ceiling with modern lighting to provide both staff and customers with a well lit conducive environment. In addition the back wall was fitted with bespoke blue glass panels to match the blue ceiling and modern menu boards installed.
The ceiling bulkheads were covered with a laminate veneer wood finish with feature lights to one. The walls and floors were tiled throughout with the exception of one wall, which was covered with a vinyl wallpaper featuring a landscape scene of the local town. A tiled storage area was also constructed to accommodate the fridge and granite worktops fitted to the new steel equipment.
As with all our modernisations sufficient sockets, alarms and emergency lighting were installed.
On re-opening of the shop customers both old and new were extremely complimentary on the contemporary design and modern finish to the shop.
