Steve and Jenny Knight contacted us as they were planning to turn the old Cooplands bakery in Pontefract into a fish and chip takeaway and restaurant.

With our expert knowledge and extensive experience in delivering modern fish and chip shop solutions, we helped the Knights with all aspects of planning and design work.

We started the conversion by stripping out the old fittings back to the brickwork and undertaking the internal building and drainage works. As part of this process, we dug a trench to install ducting for the new Florigo island range.

As part of the refurbishment, we built a bespoke counter to serve customers and tiled throughout the takeaway and restaurant for a fresh appearance which also has practical benefits of being easy to clean. We installed new customer and staff toilets for the restaurant whilst in the prepping areas we installed hygenic cladding and fabricated some stainless steel shelving and a fish defrosting rack.

Steve and Jenny were more than happy with the finished product and you can enjoy their meals inside or takeout at the Knights of Pontefract fish & chip restaurant at 3 Horsefair, Pontefract.
