McKays – Syston

The Project

We had a call from James at Syston Services in Leicester. He was the owner of a service station and wanted to construct a fish and chip shop inside the large store room.

We Stripped walls and ceilings back until we were left with one open room. Stud partition walls were built to separate the takeaway, prep room and wet prep room. All drainage was fully installed and we set to work with the full electrical rewire and plumbing aspect.

The takeaway was tiled through out with a vinyl feature wall and a poser bar seating, a new aluminium powder coated shopfront was installed to separate the main entrance from the service station entrance. The prep rooms were fitted with hygienic cladding, tiled floors and a suspended ceiling with bright led panel lighting.

They are doing very well in their new venture and reporting sales figures back better than expected starting from week 1, and still increasing (and they didn’t even advertise they were opening).
